St. Martin / St. Maarten

St. Martin / St. Maarten is an exotic cocktail of French elegance, Dutch cool and Caribbean relaxation set on a 37-square-mile island in the sparkling aquamarine sea. The northern part of the island, St. Martin, is a territory of the French Republic and will be our home court. The southern part of the island, Sint Maarten, is a constituent country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. There are no physical border controls, allowing seamless movement between the two sides.
St. Martin, which features a strong European influence, is known for its gourmet restaurants, beautiful beaches, luxury accommodations, and ecotourism activities like sailing and hiking. Take in the magnificent views over the charming French harbor town of Marigot. You can hike up to the hillside ruins of Fort Louis to gaze over the bay and towards the island of Anguilla.
Cosmopolitan St. Maarten, on the other hand, has a more Caribbean feel and is known for its lively nightlife and casinos. Enjoy wandering the cobblestone streets of Dutch Philipsburg for deals in the duty-free shops.
All of the island's pristine beaches invite barefoot strolls and sunning to the relaxing rhythm of paradise, while the crystal-clear waters beckon water sport enthusiasts to enjoy sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and windsurfing.
